Winter Light Productions has signed on to produce the next music video by Nova Scotia roots / country artist Ray Mattie. Ron Foley MacDonald will be producing and Paul Kimball will be writing and directing the video for Mattie’s single “All the Way” from his debut e.p.

The last 15 years has seen Mattie perform countless shows and festivals across most of America and Canada on the bill with artists including Spirit of the West, Sam Roberts, Emerson Drive, Gaelic Storm, Jimmy Rankin, The Trews, Trooper, The Saw Doctors, Kim Mitchell, Natalie MacMaster and many more. In doing so, Ray headlined and co-headlined events from Kansas City to Toronto, Chicago to Edmonton and Pennsylvania to Nova Scotia. Ray is a past ECMA and MNS award nominee. Now, after fronting the celtic rock group Pogey, Mattie is embarking on a solo career.

“Ray is a tremendously talented singer / songwriter, and I’m really looking forward to working with him as he moves forward with his solo career,” says Kimball. “He’s crafted a powerful song with ‘All the Way,’ about the kind of honest and real love that stays true even when times get tough, and that’s the story we’re going to tell in the video.”

Production on the video is slated for February 2017 in Halifax.
