Nova Scotia has been home to some of the most innovative and daring filmmakers in Canada for the past thirty years. Often operating on the fringes of the Canadian funding system, they have done more with less, creating a DIY spirit that emphasizes great storytelling above everything else.

Cinema 902 is a groundbreaking series that celebrates that spirit, and builds on those achievements. In the first season, which premiered on Eastlink TV in January 2018, thirteen independent feature films were brought front and center to Eastlink audiences, all for their premiere Canadian broadcast release, including films by Paul Andrew Kimball, Benjamin Stevens, Koumbie, Dillon Garland, Nicole Steeves, Struan Sutherland, Iain MacLeod, Chelsea Comeau, Ron Foley Macdonald, and Dillon Garland.

As of June 2018, the Cinema 902 films have been selected by over 80 film festivals and won over 40 awards worldwide, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Poland, Chile, Venezuela, Martinique, Iraq, Cambodia, Azerbaijan, India, Spain, New Zealand, and Canada.
